My love for Irish Setters began many years ago , when as a child I went with my class to the cinema to watch a Walt Disney's film "Big Red". Obviously the film was about superchampions - The Irish Setters. That breed has come to be my greatest love at first sight , and I think it will last forever. I still have this film on a videotape and I have watched it many times with my children.

    I bought my first Irish Setter after graduating from high school. It was Eldo z Hubertowych Włosci (Ch. Kiris Long Derg x Ch. Bella Diana z Jantarowej Knieji) bought from Mr and Mrs Poniatowski from Gdańsk. I called him "Come-back". Unfortunately I didn't enjoy this dog for a long time , because he left us on 22nd of July 1979 at the age of two.

    After "Come-Back's" death, in 1980 I bought his half-sister Arisa-Aria z Wilanowskich Pól (Ch. Kiris Long Derg x Cara-Czajka z Hubertowych Włoœci) from Mr and Mrs Marżecki from Warsaw . This is how my magnificent and longlasting adventure with the Irish Setters began...

About Arisland Kennel

    Arisland is The Irish Setter kennel, founded in 1980 by Jadwiga Konkiel - International Cynological Judge , from 1999 V-ce Chairwoman of British Pointer Club in Poland, member of English Irish Setter Breeders Club , member of Hungarian British Pointer Club and member of The Czech Republic British Pointer Club.

    From 1980 to 2005 registered 34 litters of the Irish Setters in ARISLAND, which gave in all 274 puppies. Out of all puppies who were born in ARISLAND, there were about twenty per cent who participated in dog shows. Most of those dogs succeded in Spring Field Trials and obtained titles of Polish Junior Champions and Polish Champions.
